The Louth International Film Festival returns for its seventh edition, bringing a weekend of contemporary cinema to Dundalk. Run entirely on a voluntary basis, the festival is rooted in the belief that when local and international film-making communities connect, meaningful creative exchange can take place.
The festival features an established line-up of industry patrons and jurors, including director John Moore, Oscar-nominated cinematographer Seamus McGarvey (ASC, BSC, ISC), Emmy-winning director Dearbhla Walsh and American horror filmmaker Fred Dekker. Organised in partnership between the Louth Filmmakers Society, An Táin Arts Centre and Dundalk Institute of Technology, the programme presents a range of screenings, industry panels and masterclasses designed to offer insight into current professional practice.
A workshop hosted by Screen Ireland’s National Talent Academy will also take place as part of the weekend. The festival offers audiences the opportunity to engage with a broad range of contemporary cinema and industry perspectives.
